Guidelines; Fashion.

Although part of this blog will be me posting clothes that I love and want to share, I think it’s important to remember to find your own individual style. The whole point of this blog is to encourage people to be themselves and that includes fashion. Fashion is one of the most powerful ways to express yourself so make sure you use it!

Beauty guru, Lauren Curtis, once said something about make up that can also be applied to fashion. She said that there are no rules in make up, only guidelines. If you are game enough to step outside of the guidelines then go for it. Fashion trends are the same. They are simply guidelines.

The other day, my sister and I walked out of our rooms wearing the exact same shoes. This happens a lot living in a household of three girls all with similar style. Automatically we both saw the problem, one of us would have to change shoes. Her argument was her shoes went better with her outfit than mine. Why not go out wearing the same shoes? Who says that the shoes go better with her outfit than mine?

Wear whatever you want. Step outside of the guidelines. Be game.

The Fosters.

“It’s not where you come from, it’s where you belong”

By far one of the most inspirational television shows I have ever watched is ‘The Fosters’ on FreeformTV. The show is described as ‘a one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of foster and biological kids being raised by two moms’. This show deals with a large range of issues relevant to todays society that is not necessarily discussed in other shows. This is the reason why I (and so many others) love the show.

The forbidden love of foster siblings, Callie and Brandon, has to be one of my favourite love stories of all time. I am still holding out hope that these two will end up together (they are endgame, I’m sure). This relationship can only be compared to that of Romeo and Juliet only without the fatal tragic ending (hopefully).
